"Zen" Visiting Hours

what are "ZEN" open visiting hours?

"ZEN VISITS" provide open hours for you to simply stop by and enjoy the peaceful and relaxing energy at White Barn Healing Arts Center!

If you've had a stressful week, are dealing with some overwhelming circumstances, or simply want a quiet place where you can feel safe to close your eyes and enjoy a  personal meditation or quiet time, you'll appreciate stopping out for a "ZEN" visit.

Sometimes we just need some space and good energy to help clear our busy minds, calm our over-active thoughts, and find some inner peace.

"Zen" hours will vary weekly due to our classes, workshops and ceremony schedules.

No Cost - Donations are Always Appreciated

Zen Visits are appropriate for adults 18 and over. Ages 15 -17 welcome if accompanied by adult.

Tipi

Enjoy some quiet time sitting in the calming energy of the 22' tipi.  It's a great experience and perfect for some quiet time. There will be a nice small fire in the tipi which can be used for your own meditation or releasing practices.

Medicine wheel

Need some space? Take your Zen time in the Medicine Wheel. Not familiar with a "Medicine Wheel"? We'll give you some guidance when you get here so you can enjoy sitting quietly or take time to meditate, pray, or clear your mind in any section of the wheel that speaks to you.

new meditation trail

Get grounded with nature. The new Meditation Trail provides plenty of shade and solitude to help clear your mind, calm your thoughts, and re-energize. It winds it's way through the strip of woods on the West side of the property and provides chairs and stations along the way to sit, to find some peace and harmony, to reflect, or to simply enjoy being alone in nature in a safe and comfortable setting.

visit the rescued animals

Spending time visiting with, or even simply observing, the rescued animals is sure to be a calming and relaxing experience.  There are many places where you can practice ZaZen..."I sit. I watch."   Observe. Breath. Be calm - while watching the draft horse, the cow, the pigs, the turkeys, the chickens or the duck.

flowers and flowers AND MORE FLOWERS

The flower gardens help us to appreciate the beauty of nature, the butterflies, the bird feeders, and all the peace that accompanies the colorful flower beds. Having gratitude raises our vibrations and energy levels! You can even practice hoop meditations with the flowers if you'd like to! Don't know what a hoop meditation is? We can teach you easily!

safety

While it's great to head down a public hiking trail, there's always that safety concern.  To be able to sit with your eyes closed and feel the warm summer wind on your face as you relax and calm your thoughts isn't always possible in public areas, as you often wonder who is walking up around you. "ZEN" visits at White Barn provide a safe and protective environment for you to be able to relax fully, knowing you're in a safe and private space.

items available for you

There will be items set out for you to use, such as tobacco (which can be placed out in nature for things you are especially grateful for) and supplies to make prayer ties. Not sure what prayer ties are? We'll be glad to explain them and show you how to make them!
